What is Stress Management?
Stress is not only something that happens in the mind. It affects the body, emotions, thinking, energy and even our sense of meaning and purpose. Stress Management is a practical 5-part program, that helps you understand how stress works and, more importantly, gives you concrete tools for changing your response to it.
Rather than simply trying to relax more, you learn to work with stress on several levels — physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Each class combines clear teaching, self-reflection and techniques you can apply immediately in everyday life: endorphin release, relaxation and meditation, deep breathing and vagus nerve stimulation, conscious inner dialogue, rational and intuitive problem solving, chi exercises and finding direction through meaningful action. Journaling is woven throughout, helping you identify your personal stress patterns instead of applying generic solutions to every situation.
No previous experience with meditation or personal development is needed. The goal is not a life without pressure — the goal is to become someone who can meet pressure without losing yourself inside it.
